Traffic Engineer / Transport Planner
Key Responsibilities: Conduct traffic and transport studies, including demand forecasting, impact assessments, and feasibility analysis. Perform traffic flow analysis using simulation tools to assess and predict various traffic scenarios. Develop and apply transport models (e.g., VISUM, VISSIM, CUBE, TransCAD) for network optimization. Design and evaluate roadway, intersection, and public transport improvements based on traffic flow and safety considerations. Perform data collection and statistical analysis to identify traffic trends and patterns.
Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and presentations with clear and actionable insights. Manage projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and team coordination to ensure timely completion. Collaborate with urban planners, civil engineers, and government agencies on transport planning initiatives. Assess multi-modal transport options, including public transit, cycling, and pedestrian infrastructure.
Provide recommendations on transport policies, congestion management, and sustainable mobility solutions. Stay updated with traffic regulations, road design standards, and planning policies. Utilize industry-specific software (e.g., rail simulation tools) and general-purpose tools (e.g., Excel) for transport analysis. Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex transportation challenges. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of railway systems, including operations, infrastructure, and signaling 15-06-2026
